The Community Services Committee is an extension of one of Penn State's ongoing missions of public service.  We not only support Penn State and its citizens in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in events like THON, but we also support the citizens of the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois, and those beyond our immediate reach by supporting public service in many forms.  Some of our causes have included cancer awareness, feeding the homeless, animal protection, and environmental action. 
 
As the Community Services representative for our chapter, I feel it is our duty to represent our state, our school, and ourselves in a manner that's consistent with the mission of Penn State and giving back some of ourselves in a world in which we take so much.
