Penn State at Northwestern Weekend
The Nittany Lions will be traveling to Evanston to face off against the Northwestern Wildcats in a pivotal Big 10 football game on October 2nd, and Penn State Chicago has a series of weekend festivities planned for you! Squares for Scholarship
For those of you who like some fun competition while also raising money for our scholarship fund, this is the game for you. We will be selling 100 squares at $20 each to benefit our scholarship fund, with a maximum of 5 squares per person. If you are not familiar with how it works, there are 100 squares which are assigned two numbers from 1 through 10, with one number representing the winning team's score and one representing the losing team's score. Each combination is unique so that one person will have winning number and losing number match the final score of the game. Half of the money will be awarded to the winner and half will be donated to our scholarship fund.
Friday Morning Tailgate @ City Nikki's
Getting into town early for the long weekend? Just because you're away from Beaver Stadium doesn't mean you can't start your gameday in the morning! We will be gathering at City Nikki's from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm, where we can take advantage of the fall weather on their beautiful patio with drink specials and fun giveaways. No RSVP is needed, so show up and have a great time bringing Happy Valley to Chicago. City Nikki's is conveniently located near a Purple Line station which you can take to get to the Roar Tour!
Penn State Alumni Association Roar Toar @ Evanston American Legion
The Nittany Lion, Blue Band, and Cheerleaders will help you get pumped up for the game at the Evanston American Legion on Friday afternoon! Get ready for the game by joining alumni, fans, and families at this venue on the golf course right next to the new stadium! The event takes place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and it will also feature stationed food, cash bar, and more! Best of all, registration is free!
Need public transportation directions from the city? Take the Linden Purple Line from Downtown to the Central stop, then hop out and walk Southwest for 2 minutes and you'll be at the American Legion.
